Congratulations to Brody Daniels, the latest winner of the 1000 Word Short Story Competitions for Young Writers – the theme was Valentine’s Day.

Brody’s short story is a delightful narration of a love story between two your lovers in rural America. Another fantastic bit of news is that Brody has opted to place his short story in the current Short Story Book Project. Soon we all be will be able to read his award-winning piece.

Short Story Project - Writing Competitions and New Authors - GO!

Breaking Rules Publishing has had a few new authors lately. We'd like to share a bit about them and the imaginative books they are offering.

Here we go - But first, just a quick mention of the Breaking Rules Publishing Short Story Project.  

                                      

You only have a couple of weeks left to be a part of the project - the Deadline is Feb 20th.  The Short Story Book Project is open to all fiction and non-fiction writers. the genres that we are searching for - Romance - Science Fiction - History - Mystery - Drama - Action/Adventure - Horror - Poetry - LGBT stories in all of these genres. An author is welcome to submit as many stories as they like, in as many genres. The piece must be an original work of the entrant. At the discretion of Breaking Rules Publishing - submissions selected may be published in the Breaking Rules Publishing Newsletter - The Scribe - as well as the website and social media sites. Entrants retain copyrights on his/her own individual work. We ask that the stories be no longer than 50 pages and no shorter than 20. The age requirement for this project is for the writer to be at least 18 years of age.

All participants will share in 70% of the profits after printing costs.

Your theme must be centered around starting over, but your flavor can be whatever you desire. Share this competition with your friends and fellow writers. 

For all competitions, there will be three winners - 1st - 2nd and 3rd. Each will receive a percentage of the total funds collected for this particular competition. 1st Place 35% - 2nd Place 15% and 3rd Place 10%. Check the totals daily as the number of competitions submissions increase.
